Pauer Tuning has become an Authorized dealer for Vi-PEC engine management systems. Very soon we will be releasing a Plug & Play EMS kit that will include a fully terminated wiring harness along with the V44 ECU. This new system was designed by long time engine management engineer Ray Hall and its capabilities rival that of systems 3 times the price. Some exciting options that will be included in our package are: direct plug & play, wasted spark ignition, electronic boost control with gear based provisions, launch control w/ flat foot shifting, and a AUTO TUNE function that really works!!

These new ECU's have the capability of recognizing the factory speed and reference sensors, so there is no need or added expense for any custom trigger wheel. For those interested in a full sequential system, we will be offering a very clean and simple addition to the kit that will accomplish this conversion in less than half an hour.

Here at Pauer Tuning, we are aligning ourselves with long time 951 race car builder Bob Boyer. For the past 12 years, Bob has been selling and programming standalone engine management systems for the 951, so his tuning expertise and overall experience with these cars is vast. We will be marketing the Vi-PEC system collectively, so you can rest assured that setups ranging from street to all out race are going to be confidently accommodated.

Staying true to Pauer Tuning's business model, we intend on bundling this feature-rich Vi-Pec system with a turbocharger and offering it to the 951 community at a cost comparable to some piggy-back turbo kits currently on the market.

Pauer Tuning also sells the Moates emulator coupled with the Windows based MaxTune software to establish the most cost effective tuning interface available in one plug-and-play package. The Moates emulator is, in essence, a live chip that can be used independently. It can easily be re-flashed with new/upgraded chip images via e-mail and can store up to 7 different chip configurations including a no-start option. When packaged with the MaxTune software, a USB cable connects the emulator to a laptop and real-time tuning is enabled allowing full authority over all fuel and timing maps by making changes DIRECTLY within the Motronic code. Unlike the piggyback approach which employs skewing of voltage signals to fool the DME into delivering a predetermined outcome, no skewing of any voltage signals is necessary with MaxTune.
